What is EMBA?

Different between EMBA & MBA?

4. MBA students are typically between the ages of 25 and 35, whereas EMBA students are between the ages of 36 and 40.
5. When it comes to cost, MBA is slightly more expensive than EMBA; in general, students must cover MBA costs, with some employers willing to pay for it in exchange for a commitment agreement; however, when it comes to EMBA, most organizations (employers) cover the tuition costs because it primarily benefits senior management.
6. Most MBA study programs are primarily focused on classroom activities, such as assignments and projects, but EMBA study programs, in addition to classroom activities, typically include on-the-job coaching and overseas work shop activities.

Who is eligible for the Executive MBA program at the University of Colombo?

You must have a diploma in business administration or an equivalent certificate, or one year of university study completed at recognized university.

Minimum of 8 years of managerial experience, including 3 years as a senior manager.

If you do not have the needed educational qualifications, you must have a minimum of 8 years of management experience and a minimum of 5 years of senior management experience at a recognized private or government organization.

Any other recognized qualification that satisfies the requirements of the university administration board.
